Conceptual project for NOMA, an interior design and architecture firm based out of Northern California. Focusing on natural, local materials and utilizing the local landscapes as part of the home, instead of changing it.
NOMA is a conceptual project that takes the shape of an interior design and architectural design studio based in San Francisco. They specialize in residential homes along rural areas such as ocean facing hillsides and fields with materials found only in that nearby area.
The main goal of this project was to craft a website that accurately represents the studio and their style of architecture. One that emphasizes clean lines, minimalism, attention to detail, and neutral colors.
The use of minimal color of text and body elements was done on purpose, to bring as much attention as possible to the images of NOMA's previous work and the landscape that surrounds them. The colors of faded green, grays, and browns further highlight the aesthetic NOMA likes to portray.
This project was a great opportunity to experiment with more Swiss and minimal styles of design, and also to experiment with design from other industries and their tastes. This is a great example that shows how much influence the imagery, content, and layout can have on a website project.
