Faces is the largest LGBTQ+ nightclub in Northern California. Hosting over 2,000 patrons a weekend, they host weekly events with some of the biggest stars in the LGBTQ+ space.

Overview

Faces had an outdated website and were consistently losing money on their recurring event series due to low ticket sales.

We were brought in to do a complete overhaul of their website from design to development, with hopes of increasing ticket sales and bottle service bookings to their club.

The Challenge

The main challenge of this project was to put heavy focus into the design of their events and bottle service reservations pages.

We were tasked with creating a brand/web design with serious and professional tones that would align with a law firm, but also one that is unique and stands above competitors.

What they saw as a demand problem, we saw as simply a UX problem.

Being that their current site was quite old and outdated, as wanted to prioritize a look and feel that felt fun, modern, and desirable to attract patrons to come and check out the club for themselves.

The Solution

We prioritized clean design and clear UX for the entire site, removing as much friction as possible during the buying process, allowing buyers to purchase their tickets easily and quickly.

With the calendar, we put heavy focus into UX of other high priority areas of the site including pages for bottle service reservations, photo galleries, dress code policies, and careers pages.

Results

With a full website redesign and redevelopment, we are happy to say that it generated an extra +56% in event ticket sales, as well as an increase of site traffic by +11% within the first year of publishing.

‍After our initial partnership, they brought us back to handle ongoing support for their site, where we handle all updates to their ongoing weekly calendar of events and additions to their photo galleries.
