Members In Black is a security staffing company operating in the Sacramento area, primarily servicing bars, clubs, restaurants, and live events.

Members In Black had a website, but it was outdated and frankly not a real factor in the day to day operations of their business.
After they brought us in, we completely revamped their online presence and branding identity. With a full website redesign, redevelopment, and long term SEO campaign, we transformed their site from an afterthought into a powerful marketing tool that generated leads and traction in their sleep.




The main challenge with this project was to create a site that felt specific to their brand and reputation. Being one of the top security companies in Sacramento, they needed a site that would display their history and position them in a role of experience and trustworthiness.
The main goal was to turn the site into a place where one could request security services, as well as be an information hub for those who were looking for information in security related topics.
The client also had very little experience with websites and technology in general, so they had little to no assets that we could use for the site.

Being that we were all local to each other, we took it upon ourselves to create our own assets by going around to different locations taking professional photos of their guards on duty for content on the site.
We also spoke to many decision makers within the organization to get an understanding of the culture of the company and how we could portray that through the designs and copy.
Additionally, we made strides in creating reusable templates for their business cards, as well as tweaking their logo and creating additional designs for their uniforms to have an updated and cohesive branding.


After the website was complete, they brought us back on to do SEO content for the site, which led to an 18X increase in organic SEO traffic within 2 years of working together.
With conversion rates increasing as well from basically zero to around 4.5%, their site began to generate leads on an average of 30-50 per month depending on the season.
We are extremely proud of the ongoing work we’ve done for Members In Black, and is our most successful SEO case study to date.
